HOLBINK, Basil Walter<br />
Holbink, Basil Walter, 58, died May 4, 1995, in Fairhope, Ala. Born Feb. 27, 1937, in<br />
Smith Mills, Pa., son of late Charles and Mary Holbink. Resided in St. Michael from<br />
1938 to 1956 and graduated from Adams High School, Class of 1955. He was a veteran,<br />
having served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1960. Survived <strong>by</strong> wife, Mary; sons<br />
Charles Edward, Odenton, Md. and Michael Paul, Fairhope, Ala; sisters, Evelyn M.<br />
Potchak, Warminister, Pa. and Marianne Gelles, Tumwater, Wash.; also four<br />
grandchildren. Graveside funeral service and burial with military honors were held at<br />
Arlington National Cemetery. (Tribune-Democrat, Johnstown, PA, July 19, 1995).<br />
HOLBINK, Fred<br />
Holbink of Nanty Glo R.D. 1 died February 12,1983, at Lee Hospital. He was 44. A son<br />
of Peter and Stella (Kochan) Holbink, he was born Sept. 1, 1938, in Belleville, N.J. He<br />
was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> his father. Surviving are his mother; sister, Dorothy, wife of<br />
Raymond McLaughlin, Broomall; and brothers, Robert, Alexandria, Va., and Peter Jr.,<br />
married to the former Jacqueline Stidham, Nanty .Glo R.D. 1. Several aunts, uncles,<br />
nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Holbink was a member of the Greek .Catholic<br />
Union Lodge. Friends were received at the Harry R. Ondriezek II Funeral Home in Nanty<br />
Glo where Parastas was sung at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Liturgy was Celebrated at 9 a.m.<br />
Wednesday at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church <strong>by</strong> Rev. John Kudrick, T.O.R.<br />

HOLBINK, Jacqueline D (Stidham)<br />
Jacqueline D. Holbink -Jacqueline D. Holbink of 153 North St., Nanty Glo (Cardiff), died<br />
Thursday, July 1, 1999, at Windber Medical Center following an extended illness. She<br />
was 52. Born Feb. 3. 1947, in Alexandria, Va., she was a daughter of James and Betty<br />
(Skillman) Stidham. She was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> her father and brother, James.<br />
Surviving are her mother; husband, Peter M., whom she married Nov. 12, 1976, in St.<br />
Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Nanty Glo; daughters, Sonja Stidham,<br />
Nanty Glo; Theresa Stillions, Nanty Glo and Christina Stillions, Alexandria, Va.; sons,<br />
Fred Stillions Jr., Woodstock Va.; and Robert Jordan, West Virginia. Also surviving are<br />
three grand-children; sister, Mary Tyree, Nanty Glo; brother, Craig, Fairfax, Va.; five<br />
nieces and three nephews. Mrs. Holbink was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Nanty<br />
Glo where she had been one of the catechism instructors several years ago. Her<br />
significant interests were cats, gardening, cooking and reading. Funeral Liturgy was<br />
celebrated Saturday, July 3 at St. Nicholas Church <strong>by</strong> the Rev. James Ragan. Interment<br />
followed in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements were in charge of the<br />
