ANDRAKO, Victoria E. (Laskowsky) DEARBORN,Mich. - Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Barbara's National Catholic Church, Houtzdale, for Victoria E. (Laskowsky) Andrako, 70, of Dearborn, Mich., and formerly of Whiteside, Houtzdale RD, who died Wednesday in Michigan. Fr. Vincent Cieslewicz will be celebrant. Interment will be at St. Barbara's National Catholic Cemetery in Houtzdale. Friends will be received at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. and on Monday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Vigil services will be held Sunday at 5:30 p.m. with Fr. Cieslewicz. Born July 23, 1931, in Whiteside, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Worzeak) Laskowsky. She was a member of St. Barbara's National Catholic Church in Houtzdale. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Sandra) Fraczek of Grosse Island, Mich., and one son, Carl J. of Lakewood, Ohio; one grand-daughter, Julia Fraczek of Gross Island, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Mike (Catherine) Rusnak, of Fernwood and Madeline Saupp of Houtzdale; and four brothers, Charles Laskowsky of Ginter, James Laskowsky of Maui, Hawaii, Michael Laskowsky of Whiteside, Houtzdale RD, and Francis "Fuzzy" Laskowsky of Houtzdale; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Andrako, a brother, Martin and a sister, Patricia. Born Feb. 11, 1933, in Madera, Pa., daughter of late Wasco and Anna (Dyord) Holobinko. Preceded in death by infant sister; two infant brothers; and brothers, Mike, Andy, John and Samuel. Survived by husband, Joseph; children, Joseph, Hastings; Michael, and wife, Janine Spargo, Hastings; James, Hastings; and Christine, and husband, Brian Lieb, Carrolltown; and grandchildren, Ryan Grove; Stephanie, Melissa and Joshua Anna; and Jacob, Zachary and Breanna Lieb. Sister of Kathryn Bartosh, New Jersey; Frank, Madera; Basil, Northern Cambria; Mary Boone, Fostoria, Ohio; George, Clearfield; Peter Hall, Banning, Calif.; Irene Jones, Houtzdale; and Mrs. Herbert (Annie) Hawkins, Glen Hope. (The Tribune-Democrat, Johnstown, PA, August, 2001) ARDEN, John Valparaiso - John Arden, 80, of Valparaiso, formerly of Tolleston, passed away Monday, December 13, 1999 at his home. He was born January 26, 1919 in Gary the son of Vassily and Kasia (Stachurska) Arden, graduated from Tolleston High School, served in the U.S. Army during WW II and retired as an Industrial Engineer with American Bridge Company in 1974 after 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Sportsman's Club and an avid lifetime golfer. On December 20, 1941 he married Glendora Elliott who survives along with five children, Jan (Jane) Arden of Valparaiso, Glendora (Michael) Spinelli of Springfield, VA, Thomas Arden of Crete, IL, Ronald (Cynthia) Arden of Zion, IL, Sandra (Timothy) Patterson of Valparaiso, two brothers, Frank Arden of Albuquerque, NM, Paul Arden of Richardson, TX, and eleven grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with cremation to follow. Memorials are encouraged to Valparaiso Park Department Golf Program or First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso.( The Times, Crown Point, IN) BABCO, Elizabeth (Kraynak) Babco, Elizabeth Kraynak , 86 of Glen Campbell, PA RD 1 died Sun., Jan. 19, 2003 at the Punxsutawney Hospital. She was born April 11, 1916, in Banks Township, Indiana county, the daughter of John and Anna Malisse Kraynak. In 1937 she married John William Babco. Mrs. Babco was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, attending at the Glen Campbell parish site. She belonged to the former Gipsy Senior Citizens. Surviving are her three sons: William M. Babco and wife, Lois, Gipsy; John Babco, Glen Campbell RD 1; Richard D. Babco, Glen Campbell RD 1; eight grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and a brother Martin Kraynak and his wife, Margie, Chagrin Falls, OH. Mrs. Babco was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Jan. 6, 1969; her daughter, Mary Ann Kemmerer; a daughter-in-law, Laura Belle Babco; four brothers: John, Steve, Elmer, and Joseph; and a sister Helen Grimmit. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wed., Jan 22, at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, Pa. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Thurs. at the Church of the Ressurection, Glen Campbell. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Glen Campbell, PA. (Indiana Gazette, Indiana, PA) BALICKI, Dorothy (Zazwirsky) Dorothy Balicki, 80 of Mars, formerly of Ambridge, died Sunday August 24, 2003 in St. John specialty Care Center, Mars. Born Nov 11, 1922 a daughter of the late Alex and Julia Katchur Zazwirsky, she worked for several families in the Sewickley and Edgeworth areas, she was a member of the Good Samaritan Parish St. Stanislaus Church. She is survived by her husband Bernard Balicki, her children Donna Gregor, Mercer, John and his wife Diana Balicki, Baden and Judie and her husband Kevin Schofield, Ambridge, two grandchildren, John Balicki Jr., Chambersburg, and Jessie Balicki, Baden, a brother and sister in law, William and Delores Zazwirsky, Nevillewood, a sister Ann Russin, Ambridge, a sister in law Pearl Balicki, Baden and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Zazwirsky, and three sisters, Tina Medzianowsky Papinchak, Lucy Gos Anderson and Agnes Pinotich. Per her request, there will be no viewing. A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, August 28, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery. He had been a resident of Aultman since 1931 and was associated with the Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Co. for 26 years.
