BUNGO, Michael<br />
BOISE, Idaho - Michael Bungo, 78, of Boise, Idaho died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1997, in<br />
Boise. Born Nov. 19, 1918, in Smithmill, he was a son of the late Alexander and Mary<br />
(Melnyk) Bungo. He attended school in Pennsylvania and was a member of the Civilian<br />
Conservation Corp. and the VFW Post 1213 in Rutherford. Mr. Bungo retired from Truss<br />
Joice Co. in Boise. He was a veteran of World War II in U.S. Army Corp. He is survived<br />
<strong>by</strong> a daughter, Brenda of Idaho; a son, John M. of Oregon; five grandchildren, eight<br />
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters,<br />
Anna David and Christine Fleischman, both of Brisbin, and Mary Pascucci of Maryland;<br />
two brothers, George of Indiana and Theodore of Hummelstown; and numerous nieces<br />
and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bungo was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> his former<br />
wife, Johnny; and a brother, John. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of<br />
the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville with the Rev. James E.<br />
Hicks officiating.<br />
BUNGO, Michael<br />
On June 13, 2011, in Tucson, Arizona. Born in Smithmill, PA on August 24, 1929 to the<br />
late Stephen and Nancy (Katlavich) Bungo. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the<br />
Korean War. He is survived <strong>by</strong> his wife of nearly 58 years, Leona D. Bungo, and their<br />
children, Michael J. Bungo and Jo Ann M. Stoyka; as well as grandchildren, Tayler M.<br />
Bungo, Caitlin A. Bungo, Michael Stoyka and Denise La Nuez. He is also survived <strong>by</strong><br />
his brother, Frank and wife, Alice; brother Metro and wife, Chris, and sister, Dorothy<br />
Kropinsky and husband, Steve. He was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> his parents, brother Chuck,<br />
and four sisters, Kay Fensore, Helen Brennan, Mary Rogers and Anne Kushner. Mass of<br />
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Kilian<br />

BUNGO, Michael J.<br />
Mr. Michael J. Bungo, 39, of Houtzdale, PA passed away on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. He<br />
was born March 21, 1970 in Philipsburg, PA a son of the later Michael Bungo and Susan<br />
D. (Polinsky) Bungo, who survives in Houtzdale. He was a 1988 graduate of the<br />
Moshannon Valley High School and served in the US Navy. He was employed as a<br />
machinist at Skytop Machine of Port Matilda, PA, for 4 years. On July 5, 2002 in<br />
Houtzdale he married Melissa S. Kruies who survives of Beccaria. Mr. Bungo is<br />
survived <strong>by</strong> four children; Zachary Fox, Jordan Fox, Madyson Bungo and Landon Bungo<br />
all of Houtzdale; two sisters; Karen Shultz and her husband Bill of Williamstown, MD,<br />
and Michelle McCoy of Coalport. Four nieces and 2 nephews also survive. He is<br />
surveyed <strong>by</strong> his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Linda and John Kruies of Luthersburg,<br />
a sister-in-law, Brandie Burgess of Severan, MD, two brother-in-laws, Shawn and Noah<br />
Kruies of DuBois. He was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> his father, Michael Bungo on Oct. 10,<br />
2000. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the<br />
Kruise Funeral Home, Inc., Ramey, PA, with Fr. Zab Amar officiating. Friends will be
