Olanta and Deborah Freeland and her husband Todd of Clearfield; a son , Robert S.
Gavlak, II of Houtzdale; a step daughter, Renee Anderson and her husband Todd of
Madera and 10 grandchildren. He is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Marie
Murawski and her husband Charles of Houtzdale, Joanna Lazeration of Linden, NJ,
Joseph Gavlak and his wife Jeanette of Houtzdale and Ronald Gavlak of Houtzdale; two
sister -in-laws, Joyce and Judy Gavlak; his mother-in-law, Rose Reitmyer; and a number
of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two
brothers, Michael and Albert Gavlak; an infant sister; a brother-in-law, Paul Lazeration
and his father-in-law, James Reitmyer. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a
strong loving man. Friends will be received on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 1-4 and 6-9 PM
and on Friday, Oct. 11 from 8 - 9 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Madera. A
Military Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM in the funeral home by
the American Legion Freeberg Post 591. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on
Friday, Oct. 11 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield with Msgr. H.
Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Memorial donations may be made to Clearfield

GENESI, Mary (Muhaw)
Mrs. Mary (Muhaw) Genesi, 87, of Smithmill, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 at
10:14 AM at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville, PA. Mrs.
Genesi was born on Aug. 9, 1921 in Beccaria a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna
(Lashinsky) Muhaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic
Church, Ramey. On Feb. 11, 1939 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey she married
David "Dan" Genesi who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2003. Surviving are four sons;
James Genesi and his wife Nancy of Smithmill, Ronald Genesi and his wife Ginger of
Houtzdale, John Genesi and his wife Stella of Bellwood, and Daniel Genesi and his wife
Charlotte of Irvona. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Tammy Fox and her
husband Barry, Ron Genesi, Jr., Brian Genesi and his wife Nicole, Angie Genesi, Andrea
Genesi, Deanna Genesi and Shelly Woods. Four great grandchildren and a number of
nieces and nephews also survive. Three sisters also survive; Catherine Viscelli of Florida,
Eva Prementine of Ohio, Ann Lefebure of Smithmill. Along with her parents and
husband, Mrs. Genesi was preceded in death by eight brothers, John, Metro, Mike,
Wasco, Steve, Nick, Sam and Joe. A private visitation for family members will be held
on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 20 at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Catholic
Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity
Catholic Cemetery,Ramey. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes

Raymond J. Gmerek, Sr, 74, Philipsburg, passed away at 7:40 PM, Tuesday, May 22,
2012 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1937 at Morann, a son of the late Maxemilian
and Elizabeth (Mick) Gmerek. Raymond was a parishioner of Sts. Peter
& Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg and retired as a laborer from J.H.
