Gavlak, II of Houtzdale; a step daughter, Renee Anderson and her husband Todd of<br />
Madera and 10 grandchildren. He is survived <strong>by</strong> two sisters and two brothers, Marie<br />
Murawski and her husband Charles of Houtzdale, Joanna Lazeration of Linden, NJ,<br />
Joseph Gavlak and his wife Jeanette of Houtzdale and Ronald Gavlak of Houtzdale; two<br />
sister -in-laws, Joyce and Judy Gavlak; his mother-in-law, Rose Reitmyer; and a number<br />
of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> two<br />
brothers, Michael and Albert Gavlak; an infant sister; a brother-in-law, Paul Lazeration<br />
and his father-in-law, James Reitmyer. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a<br />
strong loving man. Friends will be received on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 1-4 and 6-9 PM<br />
and on Friday, Oct. 11 from 8 - 9 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Madera. A<br />
Military Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM in the funeral home <strong>by</strong><br />
the American Legion Freeberg Post 591. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on<br />
Friday, Oct. 11 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield with Msgr. H.<br />
Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Memorial donations may be made to Clearfield<br />

Mrs. Mary (Muhaw) Genesi, 87, of Smithmill, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 at<br />
10:14 AM at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville, PA. Mrs.<br />
Genesi was born on Aug. 9, 1921 in Beccaria a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna<br />
(Lashinsky) Muhaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic<br />
Church, Ramey. On Feb. 11, 1939 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey she married<br />
David "Dan" Genesi who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2003. Surviving are four sons;<br />
James Genesi and his wife Nancy of Smithmill, Ronald Genesi and his wife Ginger of<br />
Houtzdale, John Genesi and his wife Stella of Bellwood, and Daniel Genesi and his wife<br />
Charlotte of Irvona. She is also survived <strong>by</strong> 7 grandchildren; Tammy Fox and her<br />
husband Barry, Ron Genesi, Jr., Brian Genesi and his wife Nicole, Angie Genesi, Andrea<br />
Genesi, Deanna Genesi and Shelly Woods. Four great grandchildren and a number of<br />
nieces and nephews also survive. Three sisters also survive; Catherine Viscelli of Florida,<br />
Eva Prementine of Ohio, Ann Lefebure of Smithmill. Along with her parents and<br />
husband, Mrs. Genesi was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> eight brothers, John, Metro, Mike,<br />
Wasco, Steve, Nick, Sam and Joe. A private visitation for family members will be held<br />
on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. Mass of Christian<br />
Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 20 at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Catholic<br />
Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity<br />
Catholic Cemetery,Ramey. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes<br />

Raymond J. Gmerek, Sr, 74, Philipsburg, passed away at 7:40 PM, Tuesday, May 22,<br />
2012 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1937 at Morann, a son of the late Maxemilian<br />
and Elizabeth (Mick) Gmerek. Raymond was a parishioner of Sts. Peter<br />
& Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg and retired as a laborer from J.H.<br />
