SMITHMILL - A Service of Repose will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Kruise Funeral
Home Inc., Ramey, for Ann (Bungo) David, 89, of the Presbyterian. Home of the
Moshannon Valley, Philipsburg, and formerly of Smithmill, who died Sunday, Aug. 17,
2003, at 8:11 a.m. at.Philipsburg Area Hospital. Father Paul Bigelow will officiate.
Interment will be at Beulah Cemetery, Ramey. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
A Panikhida service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. by Father Bigelow. Born July 12,
1914, in Almaden, Gulich Township, she was a daughter of Alex and Maria (Melnyk)
Bungo. Mrs. David was a homemaker arid was employed by the former Philipsburg State
General Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of St. Vladimir's
Ukrainian Orthodox Catholic Church, Smithmill, and a member and past president of the
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union, Philipsburg
Local. Mrs. David is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Christine) Fleischmann of
Brisbin and Mrs. Mary Pascucci of Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, Theodore Bungo and
his wife, Mary, of Hummelstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded
in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph "Roxie" David, on July 15, 1963; brothers
John, Mike and George; and an infant sister, Dora. The family suggests memorial
contributions be made to St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Catholic Church, P.O. Box
309, Smithmill, PA 16680 or to the Central PA Lung and Health Association, 209 E.

DILLEN, Boyd A.
UTAHVILLE - Boyd A. Dillen, 86, of Utahville died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at
Altoona Hospital. Born Oct. 10,. 1915, in Utahville, he was the son of Claude and Anna
M. (Sanstrom) Dillen. Mr. Dillen was a coal miner for several area deep mines and was
an Army T4 during World War II. He is survived by two sons, Arthur B. of Utahville and
Lawrence E. of Fallentimber; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers,
Dean of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and Everett of Whitehall, Mich.; two sisters, Martha
Warholic of Patton and Ellen Drass of Tonawanda, N.Y. On June 30, 1946 in Glasgow,
he wed Lorraine M. Kruise, who died Feb. 7, 1995. In addition, he was preceded in death
by his parents; a son, Donald, in October 2001; seven brothers; and a sister. Services will
be held at 2 p.m. Monday at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, with Rev. David
Heckman officiating. Interment will be at Utahville Cemetery. Friends will be received
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. (The Progress, Clearfield, PA)
DIMITRI, Margaret J. (Wasilko)
Margaret J (Wasilko) Dimitri, 83, Raritan, N.J., formerly of Smithmill, died Feb. 16,
2011. She was born in Janesville, daughter of Michael and Catherine (Lashinsky)
Wasilko. She married the late James Dimitri. Surviving are three daughters: Diane
Maraventano, Debra Alonso and Gayle Dimitri; and five grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by seven siblings. Funeral arrangements were held under the direction
of Bridgewater Funeral Home, Bridgewater, N.J. (Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa, February
24, 2011)
