DAVID, Ann (Bungo)<br />

SMITHMILL - A Service of Repose will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Kruise Funeral<br />

Home Inc., Ramey, for Ann (Bungo) David, 89, of the Pres<strong>by</strong>terian. Home of the<br />

Moshannon Valley, Philipsburg, and formerly of Smithmill, who died Sunday, Aug. 17,<br />

2003, at 8:11 a.m. at.Philipsburg Area Hospital. Father Paul Bigelow will officiate.<br />

Interment will be at Beulah Cemetery, Ramey. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9<br />

p.m. Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.<br />

A Panikhida service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. <strong>by</strong> Father Bigelow. Born July 12,<br />

1914, in Almaden, Gulich Township, she was a daughter of Alex and Maria (Melnyk)<br />

Bungo. Mrs. David was a homemaker arid was employed <strong>by</strong> the former Philipsburg State<br />

General Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of St. Vladimir's<br />

Ukrainian Orthodox Catholic Church, Smithmill, and a member and past president of the<br />

American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union, Philipsburg<br />

Local. Mrs. David is survived <strong>by</strong> two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Christine) Fleischmann of<br />

Brisbin and Mrs. Mary Pascucci of Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, Theodore Bungo and<br />

his wife, Mary, of Hummelstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded<br />

in death <strong>by</strong> her parents; her husband, Ralph "Roxie" David, on July 15, 1963; brothers<br />

John, Mike and George; and an infant sister, Dora. The family suggests memorial<br />

contributions be made to St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Catholic Church, P.O. Box<br />

309, Smithmill, PA 16680 or to the Central PA Lung and Health Association, 209 E.<br />

DILLEN, Boyd A.<br />

UTAHVILLE - Boyd A. Dillen, 86, of Utahville died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at<br />

Altoona Hospital. Born Oct. 10,. 1915, in Utahville, he was the son of Claude and Anna<br />

M. (Sanstrom) Dillen. Mr. Dillen was a coal miner for several area deep mines and was<br />

an Army T4 during World War II. He is survived <strong>by</strong> two sons, Arthur B. of Utahville and<br />

Lawrence E. of Fallentimber; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers,<br />

Dean of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and Everett of Whitehall, Mich.; two sisters, Martha<br />

Warholic of Patton and Ellen Drass of Tonawanda, N.Y. On June 30, 1946 in Glasgow,<br />

he wed Lorraine M. Kruise, who died Feb. 7, 1995. In addition, he was preceded in death<br />

<strong>by</strong> his parents; a son, Donald, in October 2001; seven brothers; and a sister. Services will<br />

be held at 2 p.m. Monday at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, with Rev. David<br />

Heckman officiating. Interment will be at Utahville Cemetery. Friends will be received<br />

from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. (The Progress, Clearfield, PA)<br />

DIMITRI, Margaret J. (Wasilko)<br />

Margaret J (Wasilko) Dimitri, 83, Raritan, N.J., formerly of Smithmill, died Feb. 16,<br />

2011. She was born in Janesville, daughter of Michael and Catherine (Lashinsky)<br />

Wasilko. She married the late James Dimitri. Surviving are three daughters: Diane<br />

Maraventano, Debra Alonso and Gayle Dimitri; and five grandchildren. She was<br />

preceded in death <strong>by</strong> seven siblings. Funeral arrangements were held under the direction<br />

of Bridgewater Funeral Home, Bridgewater, N.J. (Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa, February<br />

24, 2011)<br />
