N.J. and five sisters: Mrs. Michael (Anna) Torick, Southbury, Conn.; Mrs. Mary Kephart,<br />

Winburne; Miss Eva Bungo, Paterson, N.J.; Mrs. Pierre (Irene) Ligeour, Clifton, N.J. and<br />

Mrs. Michael (Margaret) Kachur, Little Falls, N.J. The Bizub-Bishop Funeral Home,<br />

BUNGO, Estelle<br />

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Estelle Bungo, 71, of Cleveland, Ohio and formerly of Smithmill,<br />

died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997, in Cleveland. Born June 28, 1926, in Smithmill, she was a<br />

daughter of the late Metro and Catherine (Lazeration) Bungo. Ms. Bungo was a retired<br />

employee of General Motors Inc. where she had worked for 39 years. She is survived <strong>by</strong><br />

three sisters and three brothers, Suzanne Russian of Houtzdale, Mrs. Cashmere (Alga)<br />

Switala of Ginter, Irene Schultz of Cleveland, Stanley and Sam Bungo, both of<br />

Cleveland, and Mike Bungo of Smithmill; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was<br />

preceded in death <strong>by</strong> her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Ann) Giza and Mrs. Andrew<br />

(Christine) Deao; and five brothers, Charles, John, Pete, Walter and Boyd Bungo.<br />

Services were held Sept. 3, 1997, in Cleveland.<br />

BUNGO, Elizabeth (Barto)<br />

SMITHMILL - Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Holy Trinity<br />

Catholic Church, Ramey, for Elizabeth (Barto) Bungo, 68, of Smithmill, who died<br />

Monday, April 13, 1998, at her residence in Smithmill. Fr. Killian Shuman, T.O.R., will<br />

be the celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ramey. Friends will be<br />

received, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and from 8-9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Kruise Funeral<br />

Home, Ramey. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The<br />

family suggests memorial contributions be made to Houtzdale Community Action<br />

Center, Houtzdale, Pa. 16641. Born Oct. 26, 1929, in Janesville, she was a daughter of<br />

Vincenzo and Massimina (Schamanna) Raponi. Mrs. Bungo retired in October 1997 as an<br />

assistant cook for the Houtzdale Community Action Center after 22 years. She, was a<br />

member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey. On July 5, 1948, In Maryland, she<br />

wed John A. Bungo, who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1976. She is survived <strong>by</strong> two<br />

daughters, Mrs. John (Carol) Finch of Smithmill and Mrs. David (Maria) Hudish of York;<br />

two sons, Vincent A. Bungo of Vestal N.Y. and Mark John Bungo of Indiana; 10<br />

grandchildren, Ryan and April Finch, Brad and Amanda Bungo, Jessica, Candace and<br />

Christina Bungo, Brian, Becky and John Hudish. Also surviving are four sisters, Anna<br />

Cook of Bellwood, Carrie Hollick of Smithmill, Mrs. Steven (Cora) Duke, Broadview<br />

Heights Ohio, and Mrs. Sam (Lena) Giambalvo of Long Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Pete,<br />

Barto of Smithmill and Gene Raponi of Parma, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews<br />

in addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> three sisters,<br />

Alaska, Irma and Palmer; and six brothers, Pete, Albert, Norge, Rudolph, Raymond and<br />
