Falconer, NY. Six grandchildren survive; Barry Belin, Cheryl Gunnell, Darlene<br />

VanVolkinburg, Donna Mitchell, Lance Belin and Angel Harrower. Two step grandsons,<br />

Mathew and Timothy Johnson and 9 great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Belin was the<br />

last of her generation. She was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> a grandson, LeRoy Belin; four<br />

sisters Annie Hamer, Bertha Opalisky, Mary Smith and Helen Peachman; and four<br />

brothers, Carl, Henry, Joseph and John Harnish. Friends will be received Tuesday, March<br />

18, from 4-8 PM and on Wed. March 19 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at the Kruise Funeral<br />

Home, Inc Madera.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., March 19, 2008<br />

at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey. Fr. Zab Amar will be the<br />

celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery Ramey, PA.<br />

Belis, Margaret, dearly beloved daughter of Mary and Peter Hines, dearest sister of Mrs.<br />

Ann Zedack, Mike, Mrs. Mary Stack, John, Mrs. Nancy Kolatsky, Miss Eva Hines, Miss<br />

Sue Hines, Mrs. Catherine Skonier, Miss Helen Hines, beloved stepsister of Mrs. Anna<br />

Filakowski, Mike Hines, Mrs. Mary Holobinko, passed away suddenly, July 13. The<br />

family will receive friends at the Sam Biondo & Sons Funeral Home, 3630 E. 116 St.,<br />

Tuesday 2-10 P. M. where services will be held Wednesday, July 16, at 8 a. m., and from<br />

BELIS, Wasco<br />

Baden - Wasco Belis, 77, of 39 Anthony Wayne Terrace Baden, a former resident of<br />

Madera, died Sunday at 3:45 p.m. at his home following an extended illness. Born Nov.<br />

7, 1883 in Austria, he was a son of Metro and Mary Belis. He came to America in 1905<br />

and resided at Madera until moving to Baden two years ago. Mr. Belis was a coal miner<br />

employed <strong>by</strong> the Yorkshire Trading Co. at Madera. He retired in 1948. Mr. Belis was a<br />

member of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church at Ambridge, United Mine<br />

Workers of America, Loyal Order of Moose at Madera and the Providence Association of<br />

Philadelphia. His wife the former Elizabeth Dziordz, who he married in 1905 survives<br />

along with four sons: John and Paul, Baden; Stephen, Ravenna, Ohio; Basil D., New<br />

Orleans, La.; six daughters: Mrs. Michael (Madeline) Thomas, Ambridge; Mrs. Thomas<br />

(Anne) Wolfe, Baton Rouge, La.; Mrs. Richard (Christine) Walters, Stroudsburg; Mrs.<br />

Eugene (Eleanor) Ryba, New Britain, Conn.; Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Goldberg, North<br />

Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. Jonathan (Daria) Hutchinson, Oil City. Also surviving are two<br />

sisters: Mrs. Christine Strongosky, Cairnbrook, Pa.; Mrs. Katherine Warholak, Madera;<br />

and 29 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from St. Peter and<br />

Paul Church at Ambridge with interment in the church cemetery. Friends will be received<br />
