war he lived in the Displaced Person's camp - "Funkkasserne" in New Ulm. He emigrated<br />

to England where we was employed <strong>by</strong> the Oldham Transportation Company as a<br />

conductor and bus driver. He married Emily Döltsch. They had one child, Peter. In 1959<br />

they emigrated to Canada where they settled in Windsor, Ontario. He was employed as a<br />

painter <strong>by</strong> the Prince Edward Hotel and then the Metropolitan General Hospital, where he<br />

was known as "Ted the painter". His son is the Associate Pastor at Sts. Vladimir and Olga<br />

Ukrainian Catholic Church and a Vice-Principal with the Windsor-Essex Catholic<br />

District School Board. Theodor had two grandchildren, Nykolai and Alexandra. He<br />

returned for a visit to Poland and to Dovzhytsia in 1974 and traveled to Ukraine in 1995<br />

(a trip he longed to make). He had many stories from his hometown of Dovzhytsia, and<br />

his visits to Tisna, Balyhorod etc.- Fr. Peter Hrytsyk<br />

HUDAK, Susan (Garbinsky)<br />

Susan (Garbinsky) Hudak, 89, of Ambridge, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in the<br />

Sewickley Valley Hospital. Born April 8, 1913, in Clearfield County, a daughter of the<br />

late Wasyl and Anna Mae Garbinsky, she was a member of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian<br />

Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> her husband,<br />

Patrick H. Hudak, on May 25, 1991; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and William<br />

Guerrieri; three brothers, Jack, Joseph and Eugene Garbinsky, and three sisters, Ann<br />

Mack, Dorothy Gross and Kay Hummel. She is survived <strong>by</strong> a son and daughter-in-law,<br />

Patrick and Nancy Hudak, Baden; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Mary<br />

Garbinsky, in New Jersey; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Tkatch, Baden;<br />

Helen and Mike Patatlisky, Houtzdale, Pa.; Marge Nadzak, Houtzdale, Pa.; Mildred<br />

Miller, in New Jersey, and Betty and Ed Cain, Ambridge; six grandchildren, William Jr.<br />

and his wife, Cindy Guerrieri, Baden; Mark and his wife, Sue Guerrieri, Conway; David<br />

and his wife Elaine Hudak, Baden; Dean and his wife, Marsha Guerrieri, Rochester; Mick<br />

and his wife Sandy Hudak, Baden, and Johnna and her husband, Kevin Merkel,<br />

Economy, and 15 great-grandchildren, Cara, Nick, Pam, Christopher, Kristy, Aaron,<br />

Jessica, Lauren, John, Jason, A.J., Erica, Nicholas, Brittany and Brianne. Friends will be<br />

received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Paul E. Bohn Funeral Home Inc.,<br />

1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.<br />

followed <strong>by</strong> a funeral Divine Liturgy at 11:30 a.m. in St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian<br />

Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Michael Polosky officiating. Interment will follow<br />

in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ambridge. Parastas service will be held Tuesday at 7<br />

p.m. in the funeral home.<br />

HUDAK-PADDOCK, Mary (Kozickie)<br />

HUDAK-PADDOCK - Mrs. Mary (Kozickie), 76, Patton, died Jan. 23, 2003, at Bon<br />

Secours-Holy Family Hospital, Altoona, after an illness of cancer. Born Sept. 6, 1926, in<br />

Smithmill, Pa., daughter of late Martin and Kathryn (Semetosky) Kozickie. Preceded in<br />

death <strong>by</strong> first husband, Joseph Hudak; second husband, Paul Paddock; and brothers,<br />

Andrew, Michael, Joseph, John, Stanley and Martin Jr. Mother of Betsy Thomas,<br />

Ebensburg; Patricia, wife of Eric Fulmer, Sewickley, Pa.; and Joseph "Butch" Hudak,<br />

married to Ann (Vescovi), Patton. Stepmother of Terry Jacobson, Paula Revak, Jody<br />

Paddock, Mickey Paddock and Peggy Zides. Grandmother of Sandy Thomas; Cherie<br />

Thomas; Scott Thomas-Senko; Lynnann (Hudak) Shilling; Brad Hudak; Dana and David
