BERZONSKY, Ann (Moskel)<br />

Ann (Moskel) Berzonsky, 87, of Smithmill died Monday Aug. 5, 2002, at 1:32 p.m. at<br />

Philipsburg Area Hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1914, in Madera, a daughter of Wasco<br />

and Mary (Russin) Moskel. Mrs. Berzonsky was a homemaker and was a parishioner of<br />

St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Smithmill and the church sisterhood. On<br />

Feb. 22, 1941, in St. Mary's Nativity of the Theotokos Orthodox Church in Madera, she<br />

wed John Berzonsky, who survives. In addition, she is survived <strong>by</strong> two daughters, Mrs.<br />

Robert Dee (Gail) Albert of Palm Coast, Fla., and Mrs. John (Karen) Lyle of Bel Mar,<br />

N.J.; three grandchildren, Kara Hicks of Atlanta, Ga.; and Ashley and Brenton Lyle of<br />

New York City; two brothers, John Moskel, of Tyrone and Robert Moskel of Coatesville;<br />

five sisters, Susan Zapsky, Marian "Cub<strong>by</strong>" Mancuso, Margaret Long and Catherine<br />

"To<strong>by</strong>" Garnett, all of Sadsburyville, and June Sharrer of Modena; and numerous nieces<br />

and nephews. She was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> her parents; an infant son, John; and two<br />

brothers, Peter and George. Prayers of Transference will begin at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at<br />

the Kruise Funeral Home in Ramey, followed <strong>by</strong> Liturgy of Repose at 10 a.m. at St.<br />

Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Smithmill. The Rev Fr. Paul Bigelow, the Rev.<br />

Fr. George Hnatko and the Rev. Fr. Gregory Lewis will officiate. Interment will be at St.<br />

Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in Ramey. Friends will be received at the<br />

funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 8-9:30<br />

a.m. Parastas will be sung at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. (The Progress,<br />

BERZONSKY - Anna, 99, Patriot Manor, Somerset, formerly of Franklin Borough, died<br />

April 6, 2003, at her residence. Born June 10, 1903, in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and<br />

Julia (Holovach) Bankovsky. Preceded in death <strong>by</strong> parents; husband, Michael F.;<br />

brothers, Michael, Paul, Walter, John and Nicholas; and sister, Mary Sliasky. Survived <strong>by</strong><br />

sons, the Rev. Vladimir, and wife, Margarita, Parma, Ohio; and John, and wife, Judith,<br />

Springfield, Va. Also survived <strong>by</strong> grandsons, Vladimir, Bartholomew and Gregory<br />

Berzonsky; and Michael and David Berzonsky; and great-granddaughters, Lydia, Kyra<br />

and Nina Berzonsky. Sister of Pauline Fox, Tampa, Fla.; and Olga Sliasky, Valley<br />

Stream, N.Y. Also survived <strong>by</strong> many nieces and nephews. Member of St. John the<br />

Baptist Orthodox Church. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Henderson-<br />

Makuchan-Ketterer Funeral Home, Conemaugh, where Parastas will be sung at 7:30 p.m.<br />

Tuesday. Funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and<br />

continue immediately to St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, the Rev. Archpriest<br />
