Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Pleasantview Care Center, Parma, OH. She was born on<br />

Feb. 21, 1922 in Smokerun, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kuzitsky) Bungo.<br />

Evelyn worked as a sales clerk at various retail stores in Cleveland, at General Electric in<br />

Cleveland and Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh. She was the last of her generation having<br />

been preceded in death <strong>by</strong> parents; three sisters, Mary Manke, Catherine Koval, and Ann<br />

Bungo; four brothers, Henry Bungo, Wasco Bungo, John Bungo, Jr and Mike Bungo and<br />

an infant sibling. Evelyn is survived <strong>by</strong> nieces and nephews; Gary Manke and his wife<br />

Terry of Parma, John Bungo and his wife Donna of Harrisburg, Patricia McClinsey and<br />

her husband Ronald of St. Marys, Michael Bungo and his wife Michelle Sidaway of<br />

Aurora, Kathleen Novak and her husband Frank of Mantua and a niece-in-law, Christine<br />

Bungo of Twinsburg. Friends will be received on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 4-8 PM and<br />

on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 9 - 10 AM at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. Funeral<br />

Services will be held on Thursday, at 10:00 AM in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Ramey<br />

with Fr. Zab Amar officiating. Interment will be in the Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.<br />

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Florence "Flo" Ferdarko Bungo, 68, of Cleveland, Ohio, died<br />

Monday, June 5, 2000. Born Sept. 1, 1931, in New Jersey, she was the daughter of<br />

George Ferdarko. She is survived <strong>by</strong> a daughter, Mrs. James (Mary) Smutna of Brooklyn,<br />

Ohio; two granddaughter, Shelley and Deanne; a sister, Jeanette of Niagara Falls, NY;<br />

and three brothers, Robert: of Philipsburg, Michael of Apollo and James of Curwensville.<br />

She was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> her father and her husband, Peter Bungo. Funeral Mass will<br />

be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen Church in Cleveland. Interment will be at<br />

Western Reserve Memorial Garden, Chesterland, Ohio. Friends will be received from 2-4<br />

and 7-9 p.m. today at Walter Martens and Sons Funeral Home, Cleveland, Ohio.( The<br />

HOUTZDALE - Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ the<br />

King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, for George Bungo, 91, of Houtzdale and a guest of<br />

Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville, who died Monday, Feb.<br />

3, 2003, at the center. Father Donald Cooper will be the celebrant. Interment will be at<br />

the American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.<br />

Thursday and from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc.,<br />

Houtzdale. Father Cooper will hold a vigil prayer service Thursday at 3 p.m. at the<br />

funeral home. Graveside military services will be conducted <strong>by</strong> the Houtzdale American<br />

Legion Freeberg Post No. 591. Born Jan. 20, 1912, in Smoke Run, he was a son of Metro<br />

and Julia (Gosser) Bungo. Mr. Bungo owned and operated Bungo Beer Distributing,<br />

Houtzdale. He was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale;<br />

Houtzdale American Legion Freeberg Post No. 591; Houtzdale Loyal Order of the Moose<br />

No. 327; and Tyrone B.P.O.E. Mr. Bungo served with the U.S. Army during World War<br />

II. On May 31, 1934, in Maryland, he wed Clara Bungo, who died May 24, 1998. He is<br />

survived <strong>by</strong> four children, Eleanor Matea of Ocala, Fla., Henry Bungo of Broomall, Mrs.<br />

Robert (Carol) Kitko of Houtzdale RD and Mrs. Chap (Clara) Nebinger of Kittanning; 11<br />

grandchildren, Karen Richards of Goldsboro, N.C., David Matea of Key West, Fla.,
