Ladies Saxon Lodge, Branch 40. She loved shopping. Mary was preceded in death <strong>by</strong> her<br />

husband, William; parents: Mary and John Lawrosky; sister, Helen Martin; and son-inlaw,<br />

Leo J. Wilacky. She is survived <strong>by</strong> son, Dwayne W. "Jake" (Linda) Hallman of<br />

Portage; daughters: Betty Jean Wilacky of Portage and Cheryl (Horst) Scheller of<br />

Valparaiso; sister, Alice Hudson of Jay, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great<br />

grandchildren. Special thanks from Mary's family to her caregivers and hospice. Funeral<br />

services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 beginning at 9:15 a.m. at Burns Funeral<br />

Home, 701 E. 7th Street, Hobart, IN to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 356 W. 700 N,<br />

Valparaiso, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. John Zemelko<br />

officiating. Interment at Graceland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday<br />

HALUSZCZAK, Bernadine (Terpack)<br />

Bernadine Haluszczak, 77, of Robinson Township died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999 at Atrium<br />

I Nursing Research and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Aug. 27, 1922 in Elmora,<br />

Pa., a daughter of the late parents John and Mary Terpack. She was preceded in death <strong>by</strong><br />

two husbands, Michael Haluszczak and William Olivani; sister Margaret Biernacki; and<br />

brothers Francis "Buddy" Terpack and John Terpack. Mrs. Haluszczak worked for<br />

several years as the manager of food preparation at Servomation Corp. in Robinson<br />

Township. She then went on to work for and eventually retire from Saint Clair Hosptial's<br />

linen department. Surviving are her children, Beverly Abbot of Robinson, Michael W.<br />

Haluzczak of Moon Township, Carol Milletary of Sterling, Va., Bill Olivani of Kennedy<br />

Township, and Barbara Terabasso of Robinson; sisters Stella Turko of Texas and<br />

Dorothy Warholak of Carnegie; brothers Bernard Terpack and Michael Terpack, both of<br />

Robinson; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends were received at<br />

Joseph M. Somma Funeral Home in Robinson. A funeral Mass was held at Holy Trinity<br />

Church with the Rev. William J. Scholz officiated. Interment is in Holy Souls Cemetery.<br />

HAMA, Margaret A (Warholic)<br />

Margaret A. Hama (nee Warholic), 84 of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Lakewood, passed<br />

away, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Kingston of Vermilion, following a long illness.<br />

Mrs. Hama was born, February 21, 1929 in Hickory Hills, Luzerne County, PA and had<br />

lived in Sheffield Lake the past 50 years. Mrs. Hama was a 1947 graduate of Lakewood<br />

High School and a homemaker dedicated to caring for her family. She was described <strong>by</strong><br />

her family as "The best cook on the planet" who could make an "awesome apple pie".<br />

She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sheffield Lake. She enjoyed<br />

flower gardening, crocheting and watching baseball and both college and professional<br />

football on television. Mrs. Hama is survived <strong>by</strong> two sons, Dave Hama of Sheffield Lake<br />

and Ken Hama (Carla) of Amherst and two grandchildren Brian and Andrea. She is<br />

preceded in death <strong>by</strong> her husband Frank S. whom she married in 1952 and passed away<br />

in 1979 and her parents Harry and Mary (nee Stanek) Warholic. She is also preceded in<br />

death <strong>by</strong> siblings John, Mike, Anne, Sue and Verna.<br />
