rim. Delicate sandalwood. dark berries, subtle tobacco nuances<br />
and minerals comprise a classic varietal bouquet.<br />
Fine-grained tannins are nicely bedded in concentrated<br />
dark berry fruit. The long finish features cherry and salty<br />
mineral components. Excellent potential for further bottle<br />

Anyone seeking wines that express the<br />
typical regional character of Kamptal<br />
and their grape variety will certainly<br />
strike it lucky at Weingut Rabl. Rudolf Rabl is<br />
very proud of his historic wine estate, which<br />
was documented as long ago as 1750. With<br />
the same matter of course that father and son<br />
share the name Rudolf, they also share all the<br />
winery work. Rudolf Rabl Senior is a lover of<br />
nature and master of around 80 hectares of<br />
vines (nearly 200 acres). He has a deep understanding<br />
and rapport with his vines and his<br />
work in the vineyards is the foundation of the<br />
high quality of the family’s wines. Rudolf<br />
Rabl Junior takes care of the vinification<br />
amongst other things, and is proud of having<br />
been one of the first in Austria to return to<br />
spontaneous fermentation and abstain from<br />
the addition of cultured yeasts. He believes it<br />
is essential to use the natural yeasts that come<br />
in with the grapes from the vineyard if he is to<br />
make wines that are a true reflection of the<br />
