This LICENCE sets out the basis to which you will be permitted to occupy a property<br />

leased by HCR Ltd. The terms and conditions that will apply in occupying the<br />

property with sole possession, subject to the requirements agreed between HCR<br />

and MOD and the provisions set out in the paragraphs below, do not create a<br />

tenancy.<br />

1. HCR permits you by way <strong>of</strong> this Licence to occupy and use the property in common<br />

with such other persons as may be agreed between HCR and the MOD.<br />

2. The Licensee agrees to:<br />

2.1 Occupy the property alone with his or her spouse and/or immediate<br />

dependent children as agreed by MOD and HCR and not share, sublet or allow<br />

another person to reside at the property on a permanent residency basis.<br />

2.2 be responsible for the payment <strong>of</strong> all bills (including unconventional<br />

fuels/utilities) with the exception <strong>of</strong> Water and Council Tax. Water and<br />

Council Tax bills will be sent directly to the HASS who will make arrangements<br />

to pay them. Any such bills received by the Licensee and which require<br />

payment should be forwarded immediately to HASS at the following address:<br />

In addition, the Licensee must ensure that the telephone service and the<br />

telephone number provided at the start <strong>of</strong> the Licence Agreement remain<br />

available to the Landlord or his Agent at the end <strong>of</strong> occupation.<br />

The Licensee is responsible for arranging and paying for the chimney(s), if<br />

any, to be swept at least once in every 6 months and at the termination <strong>of</strong><br />

the tenancy and to submit a receipt to HCR following each sweep.<br />

2.3 The property will incur Grade 1 accommodation charges as it is procured by a<br />

contractor on behalf <strong>of</strong> the MOD to a standard that broadly equates to Grade<br />

1 SFA. You have three months from date <strong>of</strong> occupation to challenge this<br />

grading.<br />

2.4 Be accountable for using and treating the property and its contents in a<br />

responsible and sensible manner; in particular the licensee shall:<br />

2.4.1 Keep the interior <strong>of</strong> the property, the fixtures, fittings and furniture<br />

in a hygienically clean and functional condition;<br />

2.4.2 not remove the fixtures or Fittings <strong>of</strong> the Premises or to store them<br />

in any way or place inside or outside the Premises which could<br />

reasonably lead to damage to the Fixtures and Fittings<br />

deteriorating more quickly than if they had remained in the same<br />

location as at the beginning <strong>of</strong> the Tenancy;<br />
