consultation with the HASC and the MOD Project Manager before settling with the<br />

Agent/Landlord and seeking reimbursement from MOD. In this instance the liability for the<br />

dilapidations will be charged to DIO Ops Accommodation.<br />

a. DIO Ops Accommodation is responsible for seeking reimbursement from the<br />

occupant if the dilapidations were a result <strong>of</strong> the occupant’s negligence or the<br />

negligence <strong>of</strong> their family or their visitors, or caused by their pets.<br />

b. DIO Ops Accommodation has sole authority to reduce or write <strong>of</strong>f dilapidations<br />

costs.<br />

48 Cessation <strong>of</strong> charges, allowances and costs.<br />

a. Accommodation charges, personal contributions and allowances will cease with<br />

effect from the date <strong>of</strong> formal move out from the property, eg, date <strong>of</strong> completion <strong>of</strong><br />

the OEC and hand back <strong>of</strong> keys. With the exception <strong>of</strong> Service reasons which dictate<br />

an early move, where the occupant has not given the requisite notice to vacate, they<br />

may be liable for charges until the Licence ends.<br />

b. Occupants are responsible for making arrangements to stop the utility services<br />

that they have set up. (See para 30c).<br />

49 Further advice regarding any aspect <strong>of</strong> the SSFA scheme may be sought by<br />

contacting:<br />

a. The appropriate HASC (Annex C to Chapter 1 to TSARs – <strong>JSP</strong> <strong>464</strong> Part 1).<br />

b. The MOD Contractor (01256 812700).<br />

c. The MOD Project Manager (01480 52151 x 6890).<br />
