for non-mobilised reservists as this remains the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the relevant PCT.<br />
17. FTRS (LC and HC), those serving on Additional Duties Commitment (ADC) and Non<br />
Regular Permanent Service (NRPS) are not entitled to SFA. Exceptionally FTRS (LC &<br />
HC) and NRPS are entitled to occupy SLA where their duty station in not within reasonable<br />
daily commuting and meet the regulations in <strong>JSP</strong>752. The period <strong>of</strong> occupation <strong>of</strong> SLA by<br />
NRPS will not normally exceed 6 months 6 . There is no liability for <strong>Defence</strong> provision <strong>of</strong><br />
SLA adaptations arising from this policy for these groups <strong>of</strong> reservists.<br />

Civil Servants<br />
18. Responsibilities <strong>of</strong> medical care for Civil Servants whilst in theatre will transfer from<br />
the NHS to the DMS. If a Civil Servant is injured whilst on deployment, medical care and<br />
rehabilitation will transfer back to the NHS on return to the UK 7 . Costs, identification and<br />
fitting <strong>of</strong> adaptations will fall to the relevant NHS PCT.<br />
Allowances<br />
19. Apart from costs for adaptations, allowance packages currently exist to support those<br />
relocating for Service reasons. In the case that the particular circumstances <strong>of</strong> a severely<br />
injured Service person may not fall within the regulations (e.g. DA and Removal <strong>of</strong> PE at<br />
public expense), such cases should be exceptionally represented to the JPAAC PACC for<br />
approval.<br />
