appropriate, at any time on giving 93 days written notice to vacate.<br />

0805. Reduced notice to vacate by the DIO Ops Accommodation. The HASC may<br />

give a reduced notice to vacate <strong>of</strong> 28 days to:<br />

As at 13 Jul 12<br />

a. Personnel discharged from the Services for disciplinary reasons.<br />

b. Eligible occupants <strong>of</strong> surplus SFA.<br />

0806. Notice to vacate by the Occupant. If, after an initial 3 months period, an entitled<br />

Licensee wishes to terminate the Licence for any reason, 93 days written notice <strong>of</strong><br />

termination should normally be given to the HASC. However, it is accepted that in certain<br />

circumstances, such as short notice assignments where the occupant is obliged to give<br />

shorter notice, 93 days notice may not be possible.<br />

SECTION IV<br />

TERMINATION OF THE LICENCE ON ASSIGNMENT<br />

0807. On assignment to another duty station. Personnel will be required to vacate SFA<br />

on assignment to another duty station unless:<br />

a. They are RN personnel in occupation <strong>of</strong> SFA in a RN Port Area.<br />

b. There is an entitlement to retain for a specified period after the date <strong>of</strong><br />

assignment as approved by the HASC, and if appropriate, the Local Service<br />

Commander - (see para 0822)<br />

c. Personnel are permitted by the HASC to occupy temporarily surplus SFA on an<br />

eligibility basis.<br />

0808. On assignment to a further appointment at the same duty station (except<br />

RN/RM personnel occupying SFA in Port Areas). Personnel who are assigned to a<br />

further assignment at the same duty station are to notify the HASC. The HASC will,<br />

whenever possible, approve continued occupation <strong>of</strong> the same SFA. However, personnel<br />

who are in occupation <strong>of</strong> tied or ex-<strong>of</strong>ficio SFA by nature <strong>of</strong> their assignment will be<br />

required to move out (thereby freeing it up for the in coming occupant), and be re-housed<br />

in alternative SFA at the duty station.<br />

SECTION V<br />

TERMINATION OF THE LICENCE FOR REASONS OTHER THAN<br />

ASSIGNMENT<br />

0809. The SFA being required for disposal. Wherever possible, the HASC is to give<br />

SFA occupants at least 6 months advance notice <strong>of</strong> their intention to dispose <strong>of</strong> the SFA.<br />

Notice to vacate is to be given at the 93 day point. A mid tour move under these conditions<br />

to alternative SFA at the duty station will be made at public expense and will attract the<br />

appropriate level <strong>of</strong> Disturbance Allowance.<br />
