� advise on standards and guidelines to support lecturers (including<br />

the provision of scholarships and study grants).<br />

� support the provision of training and further education for workrelated<br />

disciplines ( including apprenticeships, traineeships,<br />

workplace and on-the-job training);<br />

� advise on standards and guidelines to support the operation of<br />

vocational education programs;<br />

� initiate joint ventures with industry, schools and tertiary institutions<br />

to make use of facilities (including the provision of scholarships and<br />

study grants).
