Process Safety<br />

Because a process can be manual<br />

or automated, and because the<br />

output of a process may be a<br />

product such as the construction of<br />

a road, undertaking law<br />

enforcement or carrying out military<br />

actions, the safety of the process<br />

that delivers the output becomes<br />

A. Risk<br />

Qualitative measures of the risk that is applicable<br />

to the execution of processes and activities within<br />

an agency or government program. Risk as it is<br />

referred to here is defined by AS/NZS ISO<br />

31000:2009 and encompasses topics including,<br />

but not limited to:<br />

� risks to personal safety<br />

� risks to privacy<br />

� risks to output delivery<br />

� internal risks associated with process<br />

execution.
