Transport refers to supporting road, rail and air transportation systems and advising on transport regulations;<br />
supporting the movement of people or freight; monitoring and advising on the safety of vehicles and their<br />
operators; and supporting the development of transport infrastructure.<br />

Rail Transport A<br />
� support the airline industry and supporting all aspects of private or<br />
commercial aviation (including air transport safety, aircraft<br />
standards and airport services);<br />
� provide advice on air transport regulations;<br />
� support air transport standards, air security and air services;<br />
� maintain air transport infrastructure (including liaison with other<br />
governments and international bodies to negotiate air-lanes and<br />
airspace jurisdiction).<br />
� support the transportation of goods by air, rail or road;<br />
� advise on regulations for carriage of hazardous materials,<br />
dangerous goods and oversized containers;<br />
� monitor compliance with freight regulations and investigate<br />
breaches;<br />
� provide advice on best practice logistics and standardised freight<br />
movement across jurisdictions.<br />
� support the transportation of people by air, rail or road;<br />
� advise on, and monitor compliance with, pricing regulations and the<br />
provision of appropriate facilities for passenger convenience<br />
(including services such as timetables, route maps or ticketing).<br />
� support the railway industry and all aspects of the rail network<br />
system (including rail harmonisation, rail land acquisition, rail<br />
transport safety, railway maintenance and rolling stock);<br />
� provide advice on rail transport regulations;<br />
� support rail transport standards, rail transport security and rail<br />
transport services, and licensing of rail transport operators<br />
(including liaison to promote coordination and consistency among<br />
rail authorities from different jurisdictions).
