� File Transfer Protocol (FTP): a protocol used to<br />

transfer files over a TCP/IP network (Internet, UNIX,<br />

etc.). For example, after developing the HTML pages<br />

for a website on a local machine, they are typically<br />

uploaded to the web server using FTP<br />

� IP Security (IPSEC): a set of protocols used to<br />

secure IP packet exchange. Tunnel and Transport are<br />

the two modes supported by IPSEC. IPSEC uses<br />

certificates and Public Keys to authenticate and<br />

validate the sender and receiver
