40 Operation<br />
A wash comprises two parameters:<br />

Wash the needle and tubing directly<br />
after every injection.<br />
Wash the needle and tubing directly<br />
after every vial.<br />
Wash the needle and tubing directly<br />
after every Series.<br />
Remove the wash item from the<br />
method.<br />
0-9 Wash volume in number of syringe<br />
volumes.<br />
If the wash program is the only program used in a method, program<br />
a wash between Series, otherwise the Series with this method will not<br />
be executed!<br />
After all parameters are programmed, return to the main screen of<br />
method programming by pressing [Escape].<br />
Timed events program<br />
After pressing the AS <strong>3900</strong> will ask if the timed events<br />
program must be used in this method if is pressed AS <strong>3900</strong><br />
returns with the first screen of timed events programming.<br />
If is pressed the timed events program is not used in this<br />
method and the AS <strong>3900</strong> returns to the previous screen. The content<br />
of the timed events program is NOT removed and will be available if<br />
the next time is pressed.<br />
METHOD NUMBER: 1 SECTION: TIMED EVENTS<br />
1. AUX-1 ON AT TIME: 0:00:00<br />
<br />
The timed events program is a list of 20 programmable events to control<br />
other devices via the two auxiliaries (contact closures) or to activate a<br />
new oven set point. Each event can be programmed on a time base,<br />
which starts at the moment of injection.<br />
Press [Clear] to remove the programmed time, the display will show the<br />
value: NONE.<br />
A complete list is shown in Table 6, to step through the list use the<br />
[ENTER] key or one of the soft function keys to step direct to the first line<br />
of an other section.
