48 Maintenance<br />
• Pull the valve out of the instrument while turning the valve counterclockwise.<br />

To re-insert the valve proceed as follows (see Fig. 38):<br />
• Hold the valve for the mounting with the port 1 position facing to<br />
the top.<br />
• Push the valve into the mounting and turn the valve clockwise till it<br />
clicks in the fitting.<br />
• Re-connect all tubing to the valve facing to the top.<br />
• Insure that the valve is in the INJECT position. Switching the<br />
AS <strong>3900</strong> OFF and ON can do this, all Series will be reset.<br />
• Perform a standard wash.<br />

Cleaning a valve can often be accomplished by flushing all lines with<br />
appropriate solvents.<br />
Do not disassemble the valve unless system malfunction is<br />
definitely isolated to the valve<br />
