74 APPENDIX D: AS 3900, Preparative
Installation AS 3900, prep
To install the Prep option on the standard AS 3900 perform the following
installation steps:
• When the Firmware revision is lower than V2.00, then first replace
the EPROM with the one supplied in the shipkit before you continue
with the next steps, see section Firmware replacement
• Replace the standard injection valve with the special AS 3900 Prep
valve (VALCO #C2-3006 SPHMI); see page 47 for detailed
information.
• Replace standard sample needle, air needle and buffer tubing with
the ones supplied in the AS 3900 Prep kit. See page 54 for detailed
information.
• Re-connect all tubing to the injection valve as described in section
Fluid connections on page 22.
• Replace standard Syringe with the 2500 µl syringe; see section
Syringe on page 55 for detailed information.
• Install the 24 vials (LSV) tray, see section Instrument Description on
page 13 detailed information how to place the sample tray in the
autosampler AS 3900.
• Choose Prep Mode in system settings, see section Prep Mode
System Settings on page 37.
