APPENDIX D: AS 3900, Preparative
By just choosing PREP in your system settings, you can use the AS 3900
to inject all of your samples into a Preparative LC system or in other
areas where large injection volumes are required. Also in combination
with the PROSPEKT On-line Solid Phase Extraction System, the
AS 3900 can be your ideal autosampler.
The combination of large sample vials (10 ml) a large sample volume
needle and a 2.5 ml syringe enables you to inject large volumes very
reproducible with high speeds and only 45 µl of sample loss. The
installed large bore valve (0.75 mm) with 10 ml sample loop enables you
to inject from microliters to milliliters with the same autosampler. Flow
rates up to 200 ml per minute are no problem for the autosampler
AS 3900, used in Prep mode.
If the Prep option is factory installed the part on installation can be
skipped.
If the Prep option is bought as a kit, carry out the installation instructions.
