APPENDIX D: AS <strong>3900</strong>, Preparative<br />
By just choosing PREP in your system settings, you can use the AS <strong>3900</strong><br />
to inject all of your samples into a Preparative LC system or in other<br />
areas where large injection volumes are required. Also in combination<br />
with the PROSPEKT On-line Solid Phase Extraction System, the<br />
AS <strong>3900</strong> can be your ideal autosampler.<br />
The combination of large sample vials (10 ml) a large sample volume<br />
needle and a 2.5 ml syringe enables you to inject large volumes very<br />
reproducible with high speeds and only 45 µl of sample loss. The<br />
installed large bore valve (0.75 mm) with 10 ml sample loop enables you<br />
to inject from microliters to milliliters with the same autosampler. Flow<br />
rates up to 200 ml per minute are no problem for the autosampler<br />
AS <strong>3900</strong>, used in Prep mode.<br />
If the Prep option is factory installed the part on installation can be<br />
skipped.<br />
If the Prep option is bought as a kit, carry out the installation instructions.<br />
