La compañía Unica Group,
nacida hace 15 meses tras la
unión de Cabasc, Ferva, Casur,
Cohorsan y la ecológica Agrieco,
cerró su primer ejercicio
con un volumen comercializado
de 140.000 toneladas y una
facturación de 130 millones
de euros. Lo importante del
grupo no son las cifras si no
haber sido capaz “de integrar
los intereses de cinco entidades
y armonizarlas bajo un mismo
departamento comercial”,
señalan desde la empresa.
La estrategia de Unica ha
sido mantener el patrimonio
de las empresas y especializar
cada plataforma por producto.
Así Cabasc está centrada en la
línea de pimiento, berenjena
y sandía en primavera; Cohorsán
en pepino, calabacín y melones
de primavera; Ferva en
76 F&H Frutas y Hortalizas
especialidades de tomate y Casur
en el resto de referencias
de tomate.
La empresa espera cerrar el
ejercicio 2010-2011 con un repunte
de los volúmenes comercializados
y ampliar
alianzas estratégicas tanto
nacionales como internacionales
para estar más
cerca de las cadenas de
supermercados. En esta
línea ya trabaja con la
cooperativa holandesa
ZON tanto en la línea
export como import.
La empresa no sólo se
ha centrado en la línea de
fresco y ha iniciado línea
de producto industrial
con gazpacho y diversas
cremas con un diseño
atractivo para posicionarse
en los lineales de
los supermercados y la marca
‘Freshquita’ en sandía.
Unica cuenta con 1.200
hectáreas de producción en
manos de los 1.000 agricultores
asociados. La empresa ha
organic Agrieco; it has closed
this last campaign with a volume
140,000 tons and a turnover
thing of the group is
not the figures but to be able
“to join the interests of five
companies and to harmonize
them in the same commercial
department”, from the company
explained.
The strategy of Unica has
been to keep the work of each
company and to specialize in
some products. Thus Cabasc
is centred in the line of pepper,
aubergine and watermelon in
spring; Cohorsán in cucumber,
courgette and melons of
tomato and Casur in standard
tomato varieties.
The company expects to clo-
puesto sus ojos en este segundo
with an increase of the commercialized
volumes and to
extend strategic national alliances
as much as international
In this line it already
