Students gain and effectively utilize a profound knowledge base on the most important countries in
CEE and their respective political, economical, social, cultural, technological characteristics and industry
structures. They learn how to utilize the respective potentials and avoid pitfalls of these countries
for one’s own cross boarder value chain activities.
Wissensvertiefung
Participants obtain a considerable understanding of the distinct advantages and disadvantages of
various forms of market entry strategies when to be applied in practice.

Instrumentale Kompetenz
Students learn how to discuss and apply theoretical knowledge (various forms of strategies) to concrete
decision making situations (market entry) with respect to given resources and capabilities. They
will be able to examine and assess the current state and foreseeable development of these countries
in CEE. They will be able to recognize and manage the organisational, cultural, social and formal challenges
of doing business in countries in CEE with regards to people management, management of
resources and organisations.
Systemische Kompetenz
Students are able to interlink previously learned functional knowledge and to apply and adapt it to
country specifics.
Kommunikative Kompetenz
They develop an understanding for different cultures and thus act adequately within the communication
process, in conflict situations and when training and leading people from these countries.
