Students gain and effectively utilize a fundamental knowledge of the most critical emerging regions<br />
and their respective social, cultural and environmental characteristics, policies and structures of the<br />
most relevant emerging countries and a fundamental understanding of their potential and pitfalls.<br />
Wissensvertiefung<br />
Students will deepen the knowledge of the most common forms of market entry as concepts of internationalization<br />
with respect to emerging markets and to obtain a considerable understanding of their<br />
distinct advantages and disadvantages.<br />
Können<br />
Instrumentale Kompetenz<br />
Students will be able to examine and assess the current state and foreseeable development of these<br />
emerging countries in the world economy. They are able to recognize and manage the several organisational,<br />
cultural, social and formal challenges of doing business in emerging markets regarding the<br />
management of people, resources and organisations. To develop the ability to effectively assess and<br />
develop favourable MES’s depending on size and character of a company and the envisioned target<br />
market.<br />
Systemische Kompetenz<br />
Course Participants will be able to evaluate current and foreseeable global economic and market developments<br />
and to derive implications on new upcoming markets as well as their potential and risk.<br />
They are able to independently gather information on target countries, their markets and environment,<br />
to subsequently assess this information and implement them into a coherent strategy to approach the<br />
target market.<br />
Kommunikative Kompetenz<br />
Students understand and assess the importance of differences in verbal and most importantly nonverbal<br />
communication rules of these new markets and their impact on a successful business interaction.<br />
They are able to at least rudimentarily utilize the knowledge gained on intercultural communication<br />
within a specific and professional business relationship with representatives of emerging countries.<br />
