The ROBEL track motor car 54.22<br />
For many years, the <strong>Viessmann</strong> model ROBEL track motor<br />
car 54.22 (item 2610/2611) has been working unrestingly on<br />
layouts. It inspires by brilliant driving characteristics and a<br />
patented drive technology, which has been developed for this<br />
purpose and that has been adapted to the flat construction of<br />
this vehicle.<br />
With motorized crane<br />
With the ROBEL track motor car 54.22 DB Netz with motorized<br />
crane item 2620 <strong>Viessmann</strong> comes up with a new model<br />
for 2 rail version that moves and works. The crane movements<br />
to the left and right are unlimited. It rises from the cargo area<br />
and moves down beneath the tracks.<br />
This opens up completely new possibilities for playing. What<br />
about a scene of track restructuring after a thunderstorm: Obstacles<br />
on the tracks have to be removed. And even bridge<br />
maintenance works are much more fun when they involve the<br />
ROBEL. Prototypical operating conditions!<br />
Analogue and digital<br />
Of course the ROBEL track motor car 54.22 DB Netz item 2620<br />
operates in analogue and digital mode. In digital mode a lot of<br />
functions are provided: Control of warning light, cab lighting,<br />
sound (sound volume adjustable by CV), horn, compressor<br />
sound, light and sound. The crane arm is moved by the cruise<br />
control. Handling is particularly comfortable when the com-<br />
mand unit is equipped with two drive control units – one for<br />
controlling the vehicle and the other for controlling the crane<br />
on a different address. Even analogue users can move the<br />
crane arm. In this mode the warning light, cab lighting, light and<br />
sound are activated, the sound volume is adjustable by CV.<br />
Prototype<br />
The ROBEL is used as construction vehicle and operation<br />
vehicle. A first-class drive section and modern sophisticated<br />
vehicle control system provides high trailing loads. The vehicle<br />
consists of a hydrodynamic operation drive and offers up to<br />
90kN and a maximum buff load of 2.000 t. As an additional<br />
equipment the hydraulic crane acts with 10 mt lift moment.<br />
By combining two to four vehicles the potential trailing load can<br />
be considerably increased. The work and traction vehicle can<br />
be equipped with various types of cranes or a lifting platform<br />
and is suitable for utilizing auxiliary equipment both for winter<br />
and summer service. In winter, for instance, it can be equipped<br />
as a snow plough, or in summer as a mulcher or as a bridge<br />
inspection vehicle. The vehicle is well suited for construction<br />
work on new lines as well as for maintenance of existing tracks.<br />
