� improves the operational flexibility of the site; � reduces the overall footprint of the site; � allows for future expansion of the site; and � allows for rationalisation of auxiliary equipment. 7.4.3 DRAWBACKS The drawbacks for this option are that the: � double-bus bar option is difficult to achieve given site constraints and outage management issues; 0BInvestment Evaluation Summary TNM-GS-809-0720 � additional temporary works required during implementation to maintain secure and reliable supply at Creek Road Substation and remote sites; and � increased risks presented during implementation work within a constrained site. 7.4.4 CONCLUSION This option is technically viable. 7.5 OPTION 5 - REDEVELOP USING GAS INSULATED SWITCHGEAR 7.5.1 SCOPE This option includes the replacement, rationalisation and reconfiguration of 110 kV assets at Creek Road Substation using gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). This option includes redeveloping the site using a double bus arrangement as presented in Figure 3.
