Managing Data Protection and Using Digital Asset Control<br />

4. View license details in the screen that opens.<br />

The Data Protection License Details section provides the following information:<br />

• Status: Displays either "Activated", "Not Activated" or "Expired".<br />

• Version: Displays either "Full" or "Evaluation" version. If you have both full<br />

and evaluation versions, the version that displays is "Full".<br />

• Expiration Date: If Data Protection has multiple licenses, the latest expiration<br />

date displays. For example, if the license expiration dates are 12/31/2011 and<br />

06/30/2011, 12/31/2011 displays.<br />

• Seats: Displays how many <strong>OfficeScan</strong> clients can install the Data Protection<br />

module<br />

• Activation code: Displays the Activation Code<br />

Reminders about an expiring license display during the following instances:<br />

• If you have a full version license, a reminder displays during and after the grace<br />

period. The full version license enters a grace period after it expires.<br />

Note: The duration of the grace period varies by region. Please verify the grace<br />

period with your <strong>Trend</strong> Micro representative.<br />

• If you have an evaluation version license, a reminder displays when the license<br />

expires. There is no grace period for an evaluation version license.<br />

If you do not renew the license, Digital Asset Control and Device Control still work<br />

but you will no longer be eligible for technical support.<br />

5. Click View detailed license online to view information about your license on the<br />

<strong>Trend</strong> Micro website.<br />

6. To update the screen with the latest license information, click Update<br />

Information.<br />
