Action Settings<br />

Managing Data Protection and Using Digital Asset Control<br />

1. Click the Action tab.<br />

2. If you are on the External Clients tab, you can apply action settings to internal<br />

clients by selecting Apply settings to internal clients.<br />

If you are on the Internal Clients tab, you can apply action settings to external<br />

clients by selecting Apply settings to external clients.<br />

3. Select a primary action and any additional actions. For details about actions, see<br />

Digital Asset Control Actions on page 9-58.<br />

4. Configure settings for decompression rules. For details about decompression rules,<br />

see Decompression Rules on page 9-59.<br />

Device List Tool<br />

Run the Device List Tool locally on each endpoint to query external devices connected<br />

to the endpoint. The tool scans an endpoint for external devices and then displays<br />

device information in a browser window. You can then use the information when<br />

configuring device settings for Digital Asset Control and Device Control.<br />

To run the Device List Tool:<br />

1. On the <strong>OfficeScan</strong> server computer, navigate to \PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\ListDeviceInfo.<br />

2. Copy listDeviceInfo.exe to the target endpoint.<br />

3. On the endpoint, double-click listDeviceInfo.exe.<br />

4. View device information in the browser window that displays. Digital Asset Control<br />

and Device Control use the following information:<br />

• Vendor (required)<br />

• Model (optional)<br />

• Serial ID (optional)<br />
