Data Protection Debug Logs<br />

To enable debug logging for the Data Protection module:<br />

1. Obtain the logger.cfg file from your support provider.<br />

2. Add the following data in<br />

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\<strong>Trend</strong>Micro\PC-cillinNTCorp\<br />

DlpLite:<br />

• Type: String<br />

• Name: debugcfg<br />

• Value: C:\Log\logger.cfg<br />

3. Create a folder named Log in the C:\ directory.<br />

4. Copy logger.cfg to the Log folder.<br />

5. Deploy Digital Asset Control and Device Control settings from the web console to<br />

start collecting logs.<br />

To disable debug logging for the Data Protection module:<br />

1. Delete debugcfg in the registry key.<br />

2. Restart the computer.<br />

Windows Event Logs<br />

Windows Event Viewer records successful application events such as logging on or<br />

changing account settings.<br />

To view event logs:<br />

1. Do one of the following:<br />

• Click Start > Control Panel > Click Performance and Maintenance ><br />

Administrative Tools > Computer Management.<br />

• Open the MMC containing the Event Viewer snap-in.<br />

2. Click Event Viewer.
