3. Check if the following configuration files on the Smart Protection Server and<br />

<strong>OfficeScan</strong> client are synchronized:<br />

• sscfg.ini<br />

• ssnotify.ini<br />

4. Open Registry Editor and check if a client is connected to the corporate network.<br />

ntVersion\iCRC Scan\Scan Server<br />

• If LocationProfile=1, the client is connected to the network and should be able<br />

to connect to a Smart Protection Server.<br />

• If LocationProfile=2, the client is not connected to the network and should<br />

connect to the Smart Protection Network. From Internet Explorer, check if the<br />

client computer can browse Internet web pages.<br />

5. Check internal and external proxy settings used to connect to Smart Protection<br />

Network and Smart Protection Servers. For details, see Internal Proxy for Clients on<br />

page 13-47 and External Proxy for Clients on page 13-49.<br />

6. For conventional scan clients, verify that the <strong>OfficeScan</strong> NT Proxy Service<br />

(TmProxy.exe) is running. If this service stops, clients cannot connect to smart<br />

protection sources for web reputation.
