The chairman of this committee recently contacted the Pine Pleasant Baptist
Church to find out what has been done since that time. The pastor of the
church informed us that, due to the cost of material and labor, the church still
had not been able to make the necessary repairs on its building. The church
again expressed its appreciation to the Convention for making this money
available and desired that it may be given more time to do this work.
The money is being held by the Luther Rice Memorial Committee and will
be turned over to the Pine Pleasant Baptist Church whenever the church is
in a position to use it.
