The stations during that second period were practically the same as t
first period of 1945 and of the 1946 Baptist Hour except during this April-
June period most of the stations on our network in the Eastern Zone were
used by the Presbyterians for a Presbyterian Hour that covered that area.
(2) Special Features
A special feature in the second period of 1945 was the radio breakfasts
held for junior departments on April 22, and for intermediates on May 20, and
for young people's departments on June 17. The reports from these respective
departments were never completed, but the reports that we have received
in the Radio Office from the junior breakfasts, at which time the Baptist Hour
speaker brought an evangelistic message, and appealed for decision, indicate
that more than two hundred junior boys and 'girls made a definite surrender
to Christ and public profession of faith in Christ during that breakfast period.
The radio breakfast idea was new and it was most difficult to get thi
for so large a group as Southern Baptists, but the results were most gratifying.
We expect to attempt a similar effort during the July-September Baptist Hour
of 1946, and we confidently expect the results to be most gratifying.
2. FIRST SERIES OF 1946—JANUARY-MARCH 10
Again, in 1946 Southern Baptists will have six months on the Baptist Hour.
During the first three months period, January-March, the subject was "Following
Christ in the Paths of Peace."
