ENLARGEMENT
The past year has been one of glorious achievements in Sunday school
enrolment gains, for which we are grateful to God.
Last year's Sunday school gains returned to the high tide of 152,401. This
is the highest net gain since the beginning of World War II. The following is
the record of Sunday school enrolment gains by states:

Among the reasons for this growth of Sunday school enrolment, the following
are especially worthy of notice:
There has been a deep desire on the part of all workers to regain the losses
caused by the War.
The associational Sunday school organizations have been used as a major
means in urging and encouraging Sunday school workers to reach more people
for Bible study.
The state Sunday school secretaries promoted an aggressive enlargement
program through their own field forces and in co-operation with the associational
workers. They emphasized growth as a vital part of Sunday school work.
The Sunday School Department has promoted Sunday school growth in the
following ways:

Helpful suggestive plans and programs in The SUNDAY SCHOOL BULLE­
TIN for Associational Sunday School Workers
Tested and tried methods through a barrage of free literature
Co-operation of the Department personnel in conducing enlargement campaigns
Success of the Inside Enlargement Campaign in enrolling church members
The Southwide Clinic held in Nashville, August 19-September 2, 1945

Value of the Six Point Record System and the Standards of Excellence
Influence of the training course
