While the second ballot for President was being counted, a film
on foreign missions was shown by J. W. Marshall of the Foreign
Mission Board.
For the tellers, Chairman George J. Burnett announced tjiat the
majority vote indicated the election of Louie D. Newton, whereupon
he was declared President of the Convention.
The Convention then adjourned.

49. President Neff called the Convention to order at 9:00 A.M.
Director McKinney led the service of song. W. H. Ford, Georgia,
read John 14, and led in prayer.
50. From the Richmond Pastors Conference a resolution presented
by John W. Hughston, Virginia, was referred to the Committee on
Resolutions.
51. A. G. Hause, Missouri, offered a resolution regarding temp
ance lessons which was referred to the Committee on Resolutions.
