____ Up to 0.8 m tall shrub, wide-growing, producing runners. Pinnate<br />
leaves about 20 cm long, with up to 7 narrow, slightly<br />
wavy, toothed and thorny leaflets, glossy dark green, turning<br />
dark purplish-brown in winter. Flowers canary-yellow, borne in<br />
a wide, spherical inflorescence. Fruits round, dove-blue when<br />
ripe, producing a dark red juice with lemon-like taste. A selected<br />
cultivar of M. aquifolium x M. repens from the nursery of H.-J.<br />
