____ A common, native shrub; 0.5 to 2 m tall depending on the site;
the rod-like, angular, deep green sprigs remain very dense;
flowers golden yellow, appearing in May/June - the species and
cultivars suitable for all dry and sunny areas; especially suitable
to forcing; relatively frost-hardy in normal winter. D, K, St. Zone
