very downy; leaves serrated; flowers white with a pink centre,
appearing in April/May before leaf break; fruits scarlet red,
round, appearing in autumn - an exceptionally free-flowering,
delicate shrub. S, K. Zone 5a.

____ A plant on its own roots with numerous, dense-growing, slender,
long and rod-like shoots growing to a medium-large shrub; pink
flowers densely double, appearing rosette-like on the whole
length of the shoots in March/April - one of the most important
