____ Up to 2 m tall, much-branched shrub with slender shoots and
slightly overhanging shoots; leaves ovate, up to 5 cm long, dark
green, with an early shoot break; flowers pink-white, appearing
in June/September; fruits numerous, white, round, lasting long
through the winter - a valuable shrub for hedgings and as undergrowth
plant, equally a good honey-producing plant. H, St.
Zone 3.

____ A very broad, bushy and low growing shrub up to 50 cm tall. Leaves
are small, bluish to greyish green, 2 to 3 cm wide and 3 to
5 cm long, turning yellow to greenish yellow in autumn. Flowers
white, appearing in June. Fruits white, ca. 1 cm in diameter. An
undemanding, extremely hardy plant from Sweden, aptly suitable
for mass planting as ground covers, greening of street borders
etc. B, K, H, St. Zone 3.
chenaultii -
____ An attractve, very loosely, yet much-branched shrub, reaching
about man´s height; leaves 2 cm long, egg-shaped, dark green
above, bluish-green underneath, staying long through the winter;
flowers appearing in June/July in short, terminal clusters;
fruits round, red with white spots - tolerant to shade, suitable for
undergrowth planting. H, St. Zone 4.
chenaultii ´Hancock´ -
____ A very strong-growing, broad shrub, though reaching only about
30 to 50 (sometimes even 80) cm, with long, low-lying and rooting
shoots - an excellent ground cover for planting of large areas.
