fruits with stone fruit-like seeds and red, fleshy aril - a
valuable conifer that tolerates shade like no other conifer and
possessing a high ability to regenerate new shoots. H, St. Zone
6a. Picture page 319.
baccata ´Dovastoniana´ (= T. baccata dovastonii) - West Felton Yew
____ Growing tree-like, 8 to 10 m tall, with loosely and horizontally
arranged branches, whose ends hang vertically and delicately;
needles are very large, scimitar-shaped, very dark green - the
plant as specimen. R, S, St. Zone 6a.
baccata ´Dovastonii Aurea´ -
____ Differs from its parent cultivar in its slower growth, golden yellow
shoots and the needles, which are yellow-green on both sides
