____ Shrub reaching man´s height with spreading habit and loose but
more or less overhanging branches; leaves narrow, purplish to
brownish-red - one of the prettiest amongst the red-leaved cultivars.

verruculosa - Warty Barberry
____ A slow growing, hardly over 1 m tall, evergreen shrub with branches
that stick out and bending towards the ground; leaves shiny
green; golden yellow flowers appearing in May/June - a specially
