____ Having a regular-growing habit; flowers 11 cm large and 13 cm
wide, flowering buds creamy white with soft pink veins, opened
flowers are pure white with large golden yellow spots - a very
lovely, exceptionally free-flowering and totally hardy cultivar. S.
Zone 6b.
obtusum ´Canzonetta´ (HACHMANN 1987) -
____ A flat, dense and compact-growing cultivar; flowers carmine to
reddish-pink, appearing double - an impressive, hardy cultivar.

obtusum ´Fridoline´ (HACHMANN 1987) -
____ A slow, very dense and compact-growing cultivar; flowers pure
bright red, with dark red patterns in the inside - a very hardy
cultivar with probably the loveliest red-coloured tone amongst
the Japanese range of azalees. Zone 5b.
obtusum ´Königstein´ (PILLNITZER SORTE 1978) -
____ Growing wide and compact; flowers purplish-violet, with dark violet
patterns in the throat of the flowers, 2 to 3 flowers in a bud,
appearing mid to late May; tolerating winter till -22°C and foliage
clinging well to plant – awarded the Gold Medallion at the BUGA

____ A low and broad-growing, evergreen Kurume-hybrid; flowering
mid to late in the season with small, carmine flowers - an extraordinaryly

____ A mutation of ´Kermesina´ with a compact-growing habit; flowers
light ruby-pink with wine-red patterns in the inside; flower
edges 1 to 2 mm wide, pure white - a two-coloured cultivar of
great beauty. Zone 5a.
