deodara ´Eisregen´ -
____ Shoots ends very branched, and not so pendulous as the species;
leaves light bluish-grey - was selected by G. HORST-
MANN, Schneverdingen, from seedlings of Paktika Origin; the
only cedar besides C. libani var. stenocoma that survived the
winter of 1978/79 (-26.6°C) in the collection of conifers of G.
HORSTMANN; at the moment one of the hardiest cultivars of C.
deodara. S. Zone 4.
deodara ´Golden Horizon´ -
____ A flat and broad-growing cultivar; needles intensive yellow to
greenish-yellow on the sunny side, otherwise rather greyishgreen.

deodara ´Karl Fuchs´ -
____ A magnificent cultivar from the coniferous collection of G. HORS-
TMANN, Schneverdingen; selected from an Afghan seedling population,
and further selected by KARL FUCHS in terms of the
bluest tone from the Paktika Origin - survived winters of up to
-30°C in Sweden; an especially valuable cultivar. S. Zone 4.

harringtonia ´Fastigiata´ (=Podocarpus coraianus) -
____ Growing almost column-like with stiff and upright-growing, long,
rod-like shoots; all needles whorled, 3 to 5 cm long, glossy dark
green - an especially lovely tree, requires protection in winter
while young. H, K, R, St. Zone 7b.
CHAMAECYPARIS - CHAMAECYPARIS - CUPRESSACEAE
lawsoniana ´Alumigold´ -
____ Originated out of a twig-mutation of ´Alumii´, with a somewhat
stockier and slower-growing habit than ´Alumii´; very striking
due to its pure yellow foliage - a very highly valued cultivar. S.
Zone 6b.
