shrub, with fine branches that overhang later; leaves dark
green, slightly lobed; flowers pure white, borne numerously in
May/June on the whole length of shoots in flat, corymbs - the
best spiraea for free-growing, flowering hedges. H, S. Zone 5b.

with nut-like hard, brown seeds, rather sweet, edible in
late autumn - a good easily grown ornamental shrub or as specimen,

hanging long through the winter - a decorative specimen for protected
