7. The special services available for the class selected are displayed on<br />
the IntelliLink Control Centre display screen<br />
a. If you do not want a special service, press the Enter key within this<br />
screen to confirm the class.<br />
b. If you want a special service, press the soft key adjacent to the requested<br />
service or services listed on the IntelliLink Control Centre<br />
display screen. When you are finished selecting the requested special<br />
services press Enter.<br />
8. Press the Tape key to print a postage tape, or to apply postage to the<br />
mail piece, place it on the feed deck <strong>and</strong> press the Start key.<br />
All mail pieces weighing over 500 grams are considered Parcels <strong>and</strong> the<br />
postage for these items must be calculated using the internal rating feature<br />
– a combination of weight entry (manual or via attached scale) <strong>and</strong> class<br />
selection.<br />
1. Press the Mode key.<br />
2. Select Attached Scale. The “Attached Scale Mode” screen appears.<br />
3. Place the mail piece on the scale.<br />
4. Press the Class key <strong>and</strong> select one of the distribution services related<br />
classes (for example, Domestic Parcel, Domestic Priority, International<br />
Xpresspost, etc.). Depending on the distribution service you select,<br />
you may need to make additional selections.<br />
5. You are then prompted to make a Postal Code or Zone selection (domestic<br />
or country code for international), which is a required step in<br />
calculating the appropriate postage rate for the mail piece.<br />
6. For a domestic destination, type in Postal Code or Zone using the alphanumeric<br />
<strong>and</strong> / or numeric keypad. For more information, refer to<br />
Selecting Codes <strong>and</strong> Zones in this section.<br />
For an international destination, type in the country code. For more<br />
information, refer to Selecting a Country in this section.<br />
7. Press Enter.<br />
