This section defines how you schedule a date <strong>and</strong> time when your system<br />

automatically connects to Pitney Bowes to check for updates, perform rate<br />

or software updates, perform a postal inspection or data capture.<br />

1. To schedule calls to Pitney Bowes, press the Menu key.<br />

2. Select Set Up.<br />

3. Select Updates <strong>and</strong> Add-Ons.<br />

4. Select View Scheduled Calls to Pitney Bowes. The “Scheduled<br />

Calls to Pitney Bowes” screen appears. This will determine if a<br />

call has already been scheduled. Press Clear to return to Updates <strong>and</strong><br />

Additions.<br />

5. To see if any updates are available, select Check for Updates.<br />

If updates are available, the list of updates are displayed on<br />

the screen.<br />

6. To perform or schedule a particular update, select one of the following<br />

options:<br />

Software Update<br />

Rate Update<br />

Inspection<br />

Data Capture<br />

Confirmation Servc<br />

7. The system prompts you to:<br />

Connect now<br />

Reschedule event<br />

Clear scheduled call<br />

8. Select Connect now to connect now <strong>and</strong> perform the update.<br />

Select Reschedule event to schedule a connection later. The system<br />

prompts you to enter the date <strong>and</strong> the time at which it will connect <strong>and</strong><br />

perform the update.<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

When entering a date, you must use the format:<br />

MMDDYY<br />

When entering the time, you must use the format:<br />

HHSS<br />

9. To clear scheduled calls, select Clear scheduled call.<br />
