4 Setting Up a To password protect an operation:<br />

BASIC SETTINGS<br />

Supervisor 1. Press the Menu key.<br />

Password 2. Select Set Up, then select Basic High Value Warning<br />

4. Select the option that corresponds<br />

to the operation you want to password<br />

protect. The options are:<br />

a.) Refill - select this to require a<br />

password for adding postage.<br />

b.) Clear Batch - select this to<br />

require a password before you<br />

can clear the batch count information<br />

from the system. The<br />

batch count corresponds to the<br />

number of pieces of mail processed<br />

by the system.<br />

c.) Scale/Rates - select this to<br />

require a password before you<br />

can modify any of the Scale/<br />

Rates features.<br />

See Section 6 below.<br />

d.) Accounting - select this to<br />

require a password to set up<br />

accounts. If you plan to assign<br />

passwords to your accounts<br />

(see Chapter 7 in this guide),<br />

you must set up a supervisor<br />

password here.<br />
