The modem string is a series of numbers <strong>and</strong> letters that the modem<br />

transmits when it calls Pitney Bowes. This string is entered by your Pitney<br />

Bowes customer service representative.<br />

CAUTION: If you enter this screen, do not press the Clear key or you will clear<br />

the modem string entered by your Pitney Bowes representative<br />

This option allows you to modify individual phone connection parameters.<br />

CAUTION: Changing these parameters may result in errors when trying to contact<br />

Pitney Bowes. Contact your Pitney Bowes representative or customer service.<br />

Refer to the Pitney Bowes Contact Information List for the phone number.<br />

1. Press the Menu key on the control centre. Select Set Up from the<br />

main screen, then select Phone Set Up.<br />

2. Select Diagnostics. The “Advanced Phone Set Up” screen appears.<br />

3. Select Distributor Parameters <strong>and</strong> the system displays the following<br />

connection parameters:<br />

Global Account & User Id<br />

Global Password<br />

ANI/LCZ Server IP<br />

ANI/LCZ Server Port #<br />

Primary DNS Server<br />

Secondary DNS Server<br />

Distibutor URL<br />

4. Select the parameter you want to edit <strong>and</strong> make the changes.<br />

5. Press Enter when complete.<br />
